Department of Justice Ministry of Law & Justice, Govt of India has partnered CSC e-Governance Service India Limited for mainstreaming legal aid to the marginalized communities through Common Services Center (CSC).

Tele-Law means the use of communications and information technology for the delivery of legal information and advice. This e-interaction between lawyers and people would be through the audio call and video-conferencing infrastructure available at the CSCs.

The concept of Tele-Law is to facilitate delivery of legal advice through a panel of lawyers stationed at the front office of Legal Services Authorities and CSC. The project initiates to connect citizens with panel lawyers through video conferencing/telephone facilities by the Village Level Entrepreneur identified in 2,50,000 gram panchayat.

You can download the Tele-Law mobile app from the Google play store. The app then authenticates the users taking his mobile number and password. Authenticated users are granted access to the use of the mobile app.

This Privacy Policy applies to Tele-Law website (https://www.tele-law.in/) and Tele-Law mobile apps hosted on Google play store and related Communications and Services.

Data Controllers and Contracting Parties

CSC e-Governance Service India Limited are the developers of the Tele-Law Application services. Companies signing up on portal to avail the Tele-Law services are the contracting parties which will be the controller of user personal data provided to, or collected by or for, or processed in connection with our Services.

Company admin shall be controlling the user data management, and user will be the use of mobile application and the other Services, the collection, use and sharing of users personal data is subject to this Privacy Policy and other documents referenced in this Privacy Policy, as well as updates.

1.0 What data we collect

1.1 Data You Provide To Us

1.1.1 ON REGISTRATION

In nutshell–> Your Mobile number & password are collected for authentication.

To be able to start using Tele-Law mobile app for taking legal advice from the Panel Lawyers, you first need to register yourself on Tele-Law platform by providing following information:

1. Base URL

2. Mobile Number

3. Password

4. Your Name

5. Gender

6. Caste Category

7. State

8. District

9. Certificate Documents

Once user has successfully created his/her profile on Tele-Law portal, then user will receive a SMS on registered mobile number to access the application. User credentials are authenticated by the Tele-Law Portal and if successful then user can use the Tele-Law application.

1.1.2 ON REPORTING

When user upload and send any report with photos and documents along with basic information (Your Name, Mobile Number, Gender, Caste Category, State, District, Certificate Documents), Same data has send/uploaded on Cloud Data Centre server.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

1.2.1 Your Visits and Activities

We log usage data when you visit or otherwise use our Services, including our website and mobile app.

2. How We Use Your Data

Company utilizes the user data for the following purposes:

2.1 Legal Advice/Communications

Tele-Law Panel Lawyers will contact users through audio and video call to answer the query raised by the user applicant through the Tele-Law application. The Panel Lawyer will coordinate with user applicant according to the selected scheduled by users.

2.2 Advertising

Neither any advertisements are shown in the application nor has any user information shared with any third party.

2.3 Customer Support

The Tele-Callers use the same data to ensure, to investigate, to respond and resolve query of user applicant.

2.4 Security and Investigations

Use of the user data for security purposes, and to prevent or investigate possible fraud or other violations of our system and/or attempts to harm our application users, admin, visitors or others.

3. How We Share Information

3.1 Reports, Legal Advice and Legal Disclosure

CSC e-Governance Service India Limited can only access to all user information and it is not been shared with any third party. CSC e-Governance Service India Limited can also access the information for resolution of any software bug, issues, service enhancement etc.

3.2 Legal Disclosures

It is possible that CSC e-Governance Service India Limited will disclose user information when required by local law or other legal process or if company have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to (1) investigate, prevent or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities or to assist government enforcement agencies; (2) investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations; (3) protect the security or integrity of our Services (such as by sharing with companies facing similar threats); or (4) exercise or protect the rights and safety of CSC e-Governance Service India Limited, our Members, personnel or others. We attempt to notify users about legal demands for their personal data when appropriate in our judgment, unless prohibited by law or court order or when the request is an emergency. We may dispute such demands when we believe, in our discretion, that the requests are overbroad, vague or lack proper authority, but we do not promise to challenge every demand.

4. Your Choices & Obligations

4.1 Data Retention

Company will generally retain user personal data as per the company policy and companies terms and conditions or as needed to provide Tele-Law Services. This includes user data or others provided to company and data generated or inferred from use of Tele-Law Services. In some cases we choose to retain certain information (e.g., insights about Services use) in a depersonalized or aggregated form.

4.2 Rights to Access and Control Your Personal Data

• Change or Correct Data: user can change, modify, update or fix data in certain cases, particularly if it’s inaccurate.

4.3 Account Closure

If user choose option to suspend his account by requesting to Tele-Law Admin, user personal data will not being visible to others in Tele-Law Services immediately. We retain user personal data even after user have closed his/her account if reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations (including law enforcement requests), meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse enforce our User Agreement, or fulfill user request to “unsubscribe” from further messages from us.

5. Other Important Information

5.1. Security

CSC e-Governance Service India Limited implement security safeguards designed to protect user data, such as HTTPS. We regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. However, we cannot warrant the security of any information that user has send to our system. User Data can only access by Tele-Law Admin and if they misuse it then CSC e-Governance Service India Limited and Department of Justice Ministry of Law & Justice, Govt of India has full control over it. There is no guarantee that data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.

5.2. Hosting Infrastructure

This server has hosted on the Cloud Data Centre from reputed Service providers currently located in India only.
